On February 16th, Petróleos Mexicanos reported that, because of the alleged acts of corruption involving the company Odebrecht y Braskem, on December 22, 2016, Pemex’ Unit for Responsibility, jointly with the Ministry of Public Function, began an investigation. Additionally, on January 25th, Petróleos Mexicanos filed a complaint before the Mexican Attorney General’s Office (PGR). Ever since, the company has collaborated with both investigations. Therefore, and to inform the general public about this case, we report the following:
1. On April 3rd, 2017, the PGR informed Petróleos Mexicanos about the requirement calling for several Pemex officials and former officials to appear as witnesses, to continue the investigation. Given the nature of the investigation and due process, the names of the persons summoned cannot be revealed for the time being.

Pemex reiterates its commitment to cooperate on the clarification of the facts to the last consequences, and extends its gratitude to the institutional work by the PGR, both domestic and with the 12 international attorney general’s offices involved. Pemex, in the spirit of improvement of its transparency practices and informing the general public in a timely manner, will continue reporting on the progress of the investigations as authorized by the competent authorities.
