Petróleos Mexicanos set an order and cleanliness campaign in motion in all its facilities and work centers, with the purpose of maintaining operating discipline standards and become increasingly productive in the new, competitive environment of the oil sector.
Pemex CEO Carlos Treviño Medina, asserted that this is a cultural change in the company, which has been established in order to guarantee operating safety and offer our clients a clean, orderly, efficient and competitive Pemex in each of its business lines.
He pointed out that for this campaign, reference was made to an international model that has been proven to be efficient and comprises five steps to be applied by the work centers, such as: classification, organization, cleaning, standardization, and commitment – discipline.
In this first stage, the Pemex CEO gave awards to those work centers that complied 100 per cent with this model: Platform Yunuén, Team PM-1501 and the KU-M Processing Center, in the Campeche Sound; the Nuevo Pemex Gas Processing Complex, in Tabasco; the Tanker Vessel Calakmul, and the Sector of Information Technology of Coatzacoalcos – Minatitlán. He stressed that this will not be an isolated effort, but a commitment and a permanent company program.
On the other hand, the Corporate Director of Planning, Coordination and Performance, Rodulfo Figueroa, acknowledged the efforts of the workers of the aforementioned centers to achieve the goals and objectives set by the campaign, and urged the personnel to uphold these principles of the best international practices, to guarantee the competitiveness and efficiency of the Company.
