Ethics And Corporate Integrity

At Pemex we are convinced that all relationships between Board Members, Officers and employees, with customers, partners, suppliers, contractors, and society in general, must be carried out within a strict framework of ethical values and principles as well as standards of conduct.

As such, our company has adopted ethics, integrity and anti-corruption policies in accordance with the best national and international practices, because we not only comply with the standards established by the National Anti-Corruption System and the Federal Law of Republican Austerity, but also with other international regulations such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act, and the Sarbanes Oxley Act. We have achieved these practices thanks to our corporate governance and the promotion of a corporate culture that strengthens compliance, ethics and integrity, transparency, internal control, fairness and accountability in all our activities.

On this site you can find the legal framework developed as part of our compliance program "Pemex Cumple" (formerly Compliance), which includes the Codes of Ethics and Conduct that reflect our ethical principles and values, as well as the behavior expected of our Board Members, Officers and oil workers. You will also find the regulations governing Due Diligence, the Anti-Corruption Policy and the Ethics Line Guidelines.

None of these efforts would be complete without considering the human factor as a key element in our company's activities. This is why the site also contains our campaigns on inclusion, equality and non-discrimination and, consequently, our commitment to upholding Human Rights. Our personnel also receives training in the Codes of Ethics and Conduct, Due Diligence, Anti-Corruption Policy and Human Rights.

Message from the CEO

Since its foundation in 1938, by decree of President Lázaro Cárdenas, Pemex has been the flagship company of our country, whose history has reflected the efforts of our oil workers, who have laid the foundations of a strong, efficient, and inclusive company.

As instructed by the President of Mexico, one of Pemex's challenges is to guarantee the honesty, integrity and ethical behavior of its workers.

To achieve these goals, it will be necessary to create an environment of absolute rejection to corruption, which encourages robust, ethical, and increasingly productive business operations and relationships. For this reason, we oil workers are committed to adopting the Codes of Ethics and Conduct, as well as our Anti-Corruption Policy and all other legal regulations related to ethics, integrity, and combating corruption.

We have defined 9 ethical principles that guide our actions: 1) respect, 2) equality and non-discrimination, 3) effectiveness, 4) honesty, 5) loyalty, 6) responsibility, 7) legality, 8) impartiality and 9) integrity.

We are convinced that by acting ethically and with integrity, we generate value as a company and maintain the trust of Mexicans, as well as those with whom we interact.

WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO BE BETTER EVERY DAY
AS WE LOOK TO THE FUTURE.
WE, THE OIL WORKERS, ARE THE MAIN ACTORS
IN THE RESCUE OF PEMEX.
