Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) reports that, to date, 52 patients who were affected by the administration of contaminated Heparin Sodium from batch C18E881 with expiration date in January 2021 at the Regional Hospital in Villahermosa. To date, 28 of these patients have been released from hospital because their health is no longer compromised. The care being provided is distributed as follows:
o 34 patients are receiving daily outpatient care because their health is no longer in jeopardy. 2 more patients have improved enough to be released from hospital.
o 18 patients remain at the hospital. 16 are reported stable and 2 are in intensive care, receiving continuous renal replacement therapy.
PEMEX fully guarantees the medical attention for any patients who may require hemodialysis treatment and reaffirms its commitment to protect, guarantee, respect and promote the rights of all its workers.
