With the purpose of adopting the best international practices to define procurement strategies for goods, leases, services, public works and other related services, the procurement and supply function is geared towards Category-based Management, using Strategic Sourcing as its main tool for this transformation. This is in the process of being applied in Petróleos Mexicanos and its productive subsidiary companies, thus maximizing the financial value of procurement and reducing costs by means of new and/or better contracting terms and conditions.
